DogDash Community Guidelines
Effective Date: 4th August 2026
Last Updated: 4th August 2026
DogDash is built to encourage enjoyable, responsible dog walking and friendly competition. These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect from everyone using DogDash. They exist to help keep the community welcoming, fair and safe.
1. Our Community Values
DogDash is based on respect, fairness, safety, honesty and responsible dog ownership. We ask every member of the community to help create a positive environment where people feel comfortable sharing walks, photographs and achievements.
2. Be Respectful
Treat other members with courtesy. Healthy competition is encouraged, but harassment, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, threats, hate speech or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Differences of opinion should always remain respectful.
3. Play Fair
DogDash relies on genuine walking activity. Do not use GPS spoofing, bots, automated scripts, modified applications or any other method intended to manipulate gameplay. Exploiting bugs or encouraging others to cheat damages the experience for everyone and may result in penalties or account suspension.
4. Dog Welfare Comes First
The wellbeing of your dog should always take priority over gameplay. Never continue a walk simply to claim territory if doing so could place your dog at risk. Ensure your dog is exercised appropriately, has access to water where necessary and complies with applicable laws regarding leads and control.
5. Personal Safety
Always remain aware of your surroundings. Never use DogDash while driving or cycling in a manner that distracts you. Respect roads, crossings, weather conditions, private property, livestock and local access restrictions. No virtual achievement is worth risking injury.
6. Respect Property and Public Spaces
DogDash does not grant permission to enter land. Users remain responsible for ensuring they have permission to access locations. Respect private property, countryside access rules, parks, protected habitats and other public users.
7. Photos and Content
Only upload photographs and content that you own or have permission to share. Do not post illegal, offensive, explicit, violent, misleading or copyrighted material without permission. Remember that your walk photographs are shared with your friends by default.
8. Profile Standards
Choose an appropriate username and profile picture. Do not impersonate another individual, organisation or public figure. Profiles designed to deceive or mislead may be removed.
9. Protect Privacy
Do not publish another person's personal information without their consent. Avoid sharing sensitive information such as home addresses, telephone numbers or financial information. Respect the privacy choices of other users.
10. Reporting Problems
If you encounter inappropriate behaviour, suspected cheating or content that breaches these Guidelines, please report it through DogDash or by contacting hello@dogdashapp.com. Reports will be reviewed as fairly as possible.
11. Enforcement
Where these Guidelines are breached, DogDash may remove content, reset gameplay progress, issue warnings, suspend features or permanently terminate accounts depending on the seriousness and frequency of the behaviour. We aim to apply these measures consistently but reserve discretion based on individual circumstances.
12. Appeals
If you believe enforcement action has been taken in error, you may contact DogDash to request a review. Providing clear supporting information will help us investigate more effectively.
13. Updates
These Community Guidelines may evolve alongside DogDash. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the 'Last Updated' date and, where appropriate, notifying users through the app.
